The California Metals Coalition (CMC) was established in 1972 as a lobbying coalition for California's metalworking industry. Over the last 30+ years, CMC has grown into a full-service organization with meetings, group-saving programs, compliance programs and more. California's metalworking industry includes all metals-related companies, suppliers and manufacturers, such as die casters, foundries, metal formers, metal fabricators, metal smelters, machine shops, metal extruders, heat treaters, powder coaters and suppliers to the industry. Overall, there are nearly 10,000 metalworking facilities operating in the state of California. CMC retains full-time staff and lobbyists. Our staff and lobbyists are available to individual CMC members to work/advise on company-specific challenges with state and local government agencies.
