CMC’s advocacy program encompasses three key components:
The CMC Political Action Committee (PAC) was established in 2003 to raise funds from California’s metalworking industry and utilize these funds to support elected officials, candidates, or initiatives that benefit our industry in California.
The CMC Political Action Committee (PAC) is registered with the state of California (PAC ID# 1264568). The California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) oversees all donation activity and limits. In accordance with state law, CMC reports to the Secretary of State its donations and where/when PAC funds are spent.
The CMC Political Action Committee maintains its own financial and legal independence, and is controlled by the CMC Board of Directors. The CMC Board of Directors is the oversight committee for CMC PAC actions..
